At Civil Defense, our Gunpowder & Coffee day is the perfect opportunity for women curious about firearms or experienced shooters seeking camaraderie. Led by skilled instructors, this event emphasizes firearm safety and marksmanship basics, after which participants enjoy hands-on shooting. Join us to enhance your skills in a welcoming environment, and embrace your journey as a confident, responsible female shooter. Come on ladies...To hell with the "glass ceiling"!

Firearms Safety class
Enhance your shooting skills with our Firearms Safety Course at Civil Defense, where we prioritize safety and responsibility. Designed for beginners and experienced gun owners alike, this course provides essential knowledge on firearm handling, storage, and usage. Join us to become a more confident, skilled, and responsible shooter under the guidance of our experienced instructors.
Cost = $35.00 per student
Verbal De-escalation
This is a serious class and comes very highly recommended. It combines several styles into a simple to understand, easy to remember system. This will help you avoid a confrontation before it becomes deadly.
Once completed you will receive a certificate of training.

Situational Awareness
This is a very informative class which shows you what you're not seeing. If you are able to identify the threat before it is a threat you will survive it. We show you the skills needed to do just that.

Use of force and the LAW!
This is a seasoned course that will clearly and simply explain the use of deadly force as it applies here in Colorado. We go line by line and explain it in the Mose simple and basic terms possible. This is the class that will keep you from making bad decisions.
