Guy began Civil Defense one day when he witnessed a gentleman in the local Walmart carrying a sidearm. Another woman began berating him about "why he needed a gun" and the man was just befuddled by the spectacle. She hollered at him up one side and down the other. Soon people were staring and a crowd was developing. Guy had had enough. He let into the woman like a drill instructor on too many energy drinks. He informed her about Colorado gun laws and how the man was well within his rights. He told her the gun was not impeding on anybody's safety. That firearms owners were some of the most responsible and law abiding members of American society. He never yelled. He didn't embarrass the woman. He just educated her. From that moment on Guy made it a mission to inform and teach. Civil Defense was born! With the singular focus on getting the correct current and relevant information possible into the hands of the average Gun owner. The only way to beat ignorance is with knowledge. That is real Civil Defense!
